Jurnal Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (JUTIKOM) publishes research articles, literature reviews, and case studies in the field of informatics. Manuscripts must be original, have not been previously published, and must not be under review or consideration by other journals.
All manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Journal System (OJS) on the journal website. Authors are required to register and log in before uploading their manuscripts.
Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian. Authors must ensure that the language used is clear, communicative, and grammatically correct. Manuscripts in English are preferred to enhance international accessibility.
Manuscripts must be typed with single spacing, A4 paper size, using Times New Roman font, 11 pt. Section headings INTRODUCTION, RESEARCH METHODS, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION, and REFERENCES must be written in uppercase letters, bold, Times New Roman 11 pt, after 6 pt, before 8 pt.
The first paragraph must be written in justified alignment with a 1 cm indentation from the left margin. This format applies throughout the manuscript. Authors must attach a plagiarism check report with a maximum similarity index of 25%.
Tables should be centered in the text, with titles placed above the tables. Figures should be centered, with captions placed below the figures. Each table and figure must be numbered consecutively (1, 2, 3, etc.). Table and figure titles must be preceded by the words “Table” or “Figure”, written in Times New Roman 11 pt, and centered. Manuscripts must be submitted in editable format (Microsoft Word).
The title should be concise, clear, informative, and contain a maximum of 20 words. Avoid abbreviations and jargon. Use Times New Roman 14 pt, capitalize each word, and bold.
The author’s name should be accompanied by the institutional affiliation, institutional address, and email address, without academic degrees or professional titles. Use Times New Roman 11 pt for author names and 10 pt for affiliations, addresses, and emails.
Article history (dates of submission, revision, and acceptance) will be filled in by the Journal Manager.
The abstract should be written in a single paragraph, summarizing the background, objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions of the study. The length of the abstract should be 90–250 words. It must be provided in both English and Indonesian according to the journal format. Use Times New Roman 10 pt.
Include 3–5 keywords that reflect the main topics of the manuscript and frequently appear in the text. Use Times New Roman 10 pt, separated by commas.
The introduction should be written in narrative form without subheadings, covering the background, urgency of the problem, research objectives, and relevance of the topic to the development of information technology or the related scientific field. The discussion should flow logically and coherently, leading readers toward the research problem.
This section explains how the research was conducted, including the approach, methods used, data collection techniques, and supporting tools or software.
Present the results of the analysis or system implementation clearly. Data and findings should be supported by figures, diagrams, or tables where necessary. Discuss the results achieved and compare them with relevant literature or previous studies. This section may include system design, testing results, user feedback (if any), and functional evaluation.
Present concise conclusions that reflect the main achievements of the research or system development. Suggestions or recommendations for future development may also be included.
References should include only sources cited in the manuscript and must follow the APA citation style (name–year system). All in-text citations must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
References should be arranged alphabetically, single-spaced, using hanging indent format.
