QUICK MENU
All manuscripts submitted to the Jurnal Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (JUTIKOM) undergo a rigorous peer-review process using a double-blind review system. This process is conducted to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific relevance of the published works. The stages of the review process are as follows:
Each submitted manuscript is initially reviewed by the editorial team to ensure its conformity with the journal’s aims and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, and fulfillment of basic academic standards. In addition, plagiarism checking is conducted, and the similarity index must not exceed 25%.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to two external reviewers with relevant expertise. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed (double-blind) to maintain objectivity and prevent potential conflicts of interest.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following aspects:
Relevance of the topic to JUTIKOM’s scope
Originality and scientific contribution
Clarity of objectives and arguments
Strength of methodology and data analysis
Coherence of structure and language quality
Accuracy and completeness of references
Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editorial team will make one of the following decisions:
Accepted without revision
Accepted with minor revisions
Major revisions required and resubmission
Rejected
Authors who are requested to revise their manuscripts must provide detailed responses to each reviewer comment and submit the revised version within the specified timeframe. In some cases, revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation.
The final decision on manuscript acceptance is made by the Editor-in-Chief, taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations and the final quality of the revised manuscript. This decision is final and will be communicated to the corresponding author.
JUTIKOM is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing. Reviewers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of reviewed documents, provide honest and constructive feedback, and avoid any conflicts of interest throughout the review process.
